2022 Christmas Home Tour
I’ve been a bit absent from blogging lately but I just love Christmas too much to pass up an opportunity to share pretty holiday pictures!
I don’t usually put much in my kitchen as it is small and busy already but made a small cedar swag from clippings from my tree and it’s so joyful to look at while cooking! – Makes me hate the clashing whites and old tile in my kitchen a little less…(The previous owners tried but it’s not quite my style so someday I’d love to update it.)
I tend to add to my decor a bit each year and this year I made these cutie gingerbread houses for my girls. I found them at the dollar store and painted them. For a full tutorial check out my video on Instagram. My hands are still a bit sore from painting them!
I’d love to splurge on some ceramic gingerbread houses like this one. Maybe next year.
I usually style the table all out for my home tour photos but this year I just kept it simple. You can check out my fancier displays from past years here. Last year I even decorated all the bedrooms too.
I splurged on my dream tree last year and so I think this view will probably stay the same year after year now. The flocking on this one is so subtle and not chunky like most I’ve seen and it barely makes any mess! – The online pics of the tree don’t show it very well but trust me, it’s beautiful!
I love a flocked tree dripping with garland and colorful ornaments! I made the wood bead garland last year with some beads I got at Michaels. If you want to try these beads are a great option. It’s so easy and adds so much to the tree.
The mantel is different again this year. I got some faux garland this year and it’s a bit less grand than my display last year, but I’m glad I won’t be cleaning up pine needles for days! The beaded garland and fairy lights make it feel more full. I got my garland at Canadian Tire but it’s sold out now. This one is similar.
The stockings were just cheap ones I’ve had for years that I added a bit of ribbon and fabric to. I love how they turned out!
The Nutcrackers have seen better days but they are well-loved! I’d love to add a few more to the collection like these.
My tree has smaller fairy lights so I like adding in some large bulbs to make it shine more.
There she is, glowing in the early evening light. 🙂

I just love Christmas and having this time of year to spend with family and remember my Savior Jesus Christ and the good news He brings to the world!
Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
