Bohemian Gender Neutral Nursery

Bohemian; Hippie?, Southern Inspired?...call it what you want, THIS sort of feeling in a room will ALWAYS bring joy to my soul! :) I'm a self-proclaimed earth child by nature so any room that makes me feel close to nature will generally make me want to stay in it forever! ...Haha. which is a good thing since when you are nursing a baby you are stuck in the nursery ALL. DAY. LONG...But really! So for that reason, I wanted this room to reflect my personal likes in color, texture, and style.Enter my Bohemian material inspiration: Bohemian NurseryThe Mexican blanket was a souvenir from my parents, the wall hanging was a DIY, the pillow was made from old scrap fabric I found in my craft stash, the curtains I found at Homesense and the letter "E" was from the coastal decor at Michaels. The crib was reused from our first child...(It is solid wood and we got it for FREE from a thrift sale!-Steal!) The changing table was another thrift find for $15 and the Ikea Poang chair was actually the one thing we bought new when we had our previous daughter.  I LOVE the shape of it, it gives great support for nursing and cuddling babies!Bohemian Nursery  Before it was a crowded mess with the furniture practically blocking the door of this already extremely small room! Finding the right arrangement took a while because this room is literally 80 square feet!!Bohemian NurseryHaving a bohemian vibe gave me the perfect place to hang an oil painting we bought on our honeymoon in Mazatlan, Mexico and a watercolor painting of a cactus that I made.  The clay sun souvenir was also from Mexico, it was a gift from my parents.  I contemplated painting the wood frames but then decided to leave them because I liked the way they tied in with the other wood elements around the room.Bohemian Nursery Gallery wall.Bohemian Nursery. Bohemian NurseryI designed this room before my second daughter was born but she has turned out to be so calm and relaxed so this room decor matches her personality so well! All Photography by Brock Kryton Photography. Thanks for reading!Cheers.
