Bohemian Dining Room Makeover with Valspar Paint!

Reveal day for this Bohemian Dining room is finally here! I’ve been helping a friend with this project for a couple of months and we are both in love with how it turned out.

When we were discussing the initial design idea I showed my friend the collection of colors that Valspar had released for their 2023 colors of the year and she was instantly drawn to this beautiful peachy tone called “Desert Carnation”. I love browsing through the color of the year – they are timeless options and are specifically curated for you so you can really can’t go wrong, they are tried and tested to work in virtually any space. I recently used “Blue Arrow” in my parent’s guest room for a quick all-paint makeover. Valspar Paint is my favorite paint company, the quality and price are unmatched, and you can get it any Lowes or Rona right when you’re shopping for all your other project supplies so it’s always a win-win.

For this project, the dining room had become a catch-all room and really needed a focal point to bring it together and give it a purpose in this open-concept living space. Paint is one of the easiest and most inexpensive ways to update a space so we started with choosing a color. Here it is Before.

We decided to add some board and batten trim work to give the wall some texture and bring your eye to it. Then once we added the color on top it really came to life.

And here is the After! My Jaw is still on the floor! It is such a warm and inviting room now.

The final details were the rattan wall hangings we added from Homesense and IKEA, and a rug from Wayfair to pull it all together, but this makeover is another excellent reminder of the incredible power of paint at transforming a space!
