DIY Yarn and Driftwood Wall Hanging
I found some driftwood last year when I was out by the ocean in Victoria, BC for a family wedding. I'm kind of a collector of odd things found in nature but I knew I could find a use for them, if not just to look pretty on a shelf. But then I saw a few of these yarn wall hangings around the web and had to try it. This is a very EASY DIY to complete and it looks so cute! For this tutorial, you will need several skeins of yarn and some driftwood (or a large tree branch). First cut several pieces of yarn that are about 4' long. Take the pieces and fold them in half. Bring the loop end around the top of your driftwood.Knot it through the other end of the yarn.Pull tight against the wood.Repeat, repeat, repeat with several colors of yarn until you have your desired pattern.Trim the ends at an angle for visual interest.Attach a string to the ends or use wall hanging hooks for a seamlessly hung look.Hang and ENJOY! :) This piece was perfect for my little girl's Bohemian Nursery.
