Holiday moodboard + Shop the look!
If you’ve been here a while you may know that I love to change up my Christmas decor each year. I don’t necessarily buy new things every year but I alternate the “mood” of the decor. I have ornaments in every color of the rainbow so some years I go all out in color and other times I like to keep it classic and neutral.
This year I’m really feeling inspired by a mix of both, so that’s the look I’m aiming for. It’s going to be a bit colorful bohemian with a tad of classic and traditional elements.
I’ll keep the main tree classic and simple, then I will add pops of color in the ornaments mixed with wood bead garland and other touches like ribbon on the branches. I purchased small colorful trees for my daughters to put in their rooms and that will add another fun bohemian vibe to other parts of the house. we have a couple of other small trees so I may even decorate the bathrooms this year too! 🙂
This eclectic combination may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it makes me happy so that’s all that really matters.
But if you are interested in a similar look I’ve linked all the items below, as well as some other decor items that inspired the look I’m going for.
1. Bohemian Tree Topper I’ve been on the hunt for a stunning tree topper for a few years and this one is just the perfect mix of traditional and bohemian that I love.
2. Flocked Saratoga Spruce Faux Tree This is literally my dream tree! I’ve been coveting flocked trees for a while and this one checked all the boxes of style and realistic look for me so I treated myself!(This one is a splurge) so here are a few budget options too: Tree 1| Tree 2| Tree 3|
3. Rainbow Ribbon I’m planning to tie cute little bows on the branches with colorful ribbon for a look that gives an ode to vintage tinsel on trees.
4. Wood bead Garland I’ve been wanting these for a while and I love the Scandinavian vibe they bring to the tree…These are a great price if you want some too or if you’re crafty you can make your own with these wood beads.
5. Colorful Ornaments Like I mentioned above I have a large collection of ornaments that I have mostly thrifted or found on clearance post-Christmas but these amazon ones are great too.
6. Boho Garland This garland would be so cute with some greenery on a fireplace mantle.
7. Santa Doormat Such a cute greeting for your guests!
8. Rainbow Bottle brush trees These are adorable on a mantle or piano and the color options are great too if you’re craving some color like me!
9. Nativity Advent Calendar I love the simplicity of this Advent calendar and the incorporation of the true meaning of Christmas at the top to keep your heart in the right place as you anticipate the season.
10. Amber Lewis Throw Blanket I’ll be snuggled up in this for many cold winter days to come!
11. Frayed Ribbon I want to tie a few bows on the trees in my girl’s rooms too and I love the vintage touch these frayed ribbons have.
12. Tabletop Trees (multiple color options) – My girls always end up taking some of the ornaments to their rooms to decorate so this year I treated them to their own cute tree to add some Christmas spirit to their rooms.
13. Up to Snow Good pillow The details on this hooked pillow are sooo good and it’s classy enough to stay out all winter.
